Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Hope-Texarkana Announces Free College for Hempstead County Graduates

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is proud to announce the establishment of the new Hempstead Guarantee Scholarship. Through the Hempstead Guarantee Scholarship, Ï㽶ÊÓƵHT will provide graduates from high schools in Hempstead County with a scholarship to attend Ï㽶ÊÓƵHT completely free for their first year, beginning with the class of 2024. The scholarship will provide funds to pay tuition, fees, and book rental costs beyond the financial aid for which students qualify in their first year after high school graduation.

As part of the partnership between Ï㽶ÊÓƵHT and high schools in Hempstead County, the college has agreed to offer concurrent credit courses to high school students, with the high schools partnering to pay the remaining 50% of students’ Ï㽶ÊÓƵHT tuition and fees after any Arkansas Concurrent Challenge Scholarships are applied.
